Since 2007, Castello di Amorosa has produced primarily Italian style wines with grapes grown from the unique climate and soil conditions of California’s Napa Valley. With the experience of veteran winemakers, Castello di Amorosa properly manages the quality and flavor of grapes to bring out the complexities of varietals including the Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon.
With a commitment to using traditional approaches to the craft of winegrowing and winemaking, we incorporate modern techniques and equipment only when it improves quality. We also use a “Sustainable” approach to managing vineyard pests and diseases in the vineyards.
Quality Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon Starts in the Vineyard
Winemaking starts in the vineyards, and California’s unique climate, soil and growing conditions are ideal for the growing the finest grapes that go into making fine Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. All of our red grapes are grown in the Napa Valley around the Castle while our White grapes are grown in the Carneros district of the Napa Valley or in the Anderson Valley.
Virtually all the Castle's vineyards are on hillsides as hillside quality is usually far superior to valley floor grapes. We strive to manage the quality and flavor of the grapes so that they exhibit all the qualities and complexities we are looking for.
